Athletes must wear face coverings unless they are actively participating in the sporting event or practice.
All visitors and fans must wear face coverings unless they are able to maintain social distancing [as defined in Executive Order GA-29], are sitting exclusively with members of their household, or have a medical condition.
Coaches, athletes, volunteers, visitors, and spectators will be screened according to the UIL and TAIAO guidelines upon entering the venue where any Tribe event is taking place.
All coaches, athletes, or volunteers that have been COVID-19 confirmed, suspected, or exposed will follow all UIL and TAIAO guidelines before they can be readmitted to any Tribe events or practices.
If any athlete, coach, or volunteer gets exposed to COVID-19, shows any symptoms, or tests positive they must quarantine at home for the duration of illness
They will not be able to return until they are at least three days (72 hours) have passed since recovery (resolution of fever without the use of fever-reducing agents) OR the individual has improvement in symptoms and at least ten days have passed since onset of symptoms
Symptoms include fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea
After careful consideration of the current state of the impact of COVID-19 in the State of Texas, the potential impact it may have on our Tribe Warriors community, and the TAIAO guidelines, we have decided to allow Fall Sports to proceed as currently scheduled, with a start date for Fall Practices on August 3, 2020 Currently there are no changes to the start date for games. While we hope that we will be able to complete the Fall Sports uninterrupted, please bear in mind that we will act, if necessary, to modify the schedules, should the situation warrant.
Tribe will follow all National, State, and Local orders and ordinances with regard to COVID-19, including the applicable UIL Guidelines, and local health orders. The UIL Guidelines are made a part of the TAIAO Rules and a violation may result in sanctions.
Coaches will ensure their team is responsible for cleaning the venue before, during, and after any Tribe event or practice has taken place. This includes all practice facilities, bathrooms, weight room, etc.
We expect our coaches, players, and families to respect the rules and standards of host teams.
